HOME INSPECTIONS inspector, Brian MacNeish, is one of approximately 400 home inspectors
across Canada that hold national certification through the National Certification
Authority ( www.nca-anc.com
). Brian has 32 years experience combined in the building industry, the
home and commercial building inspection field, indoor air quality consulting &
testing, litigation, and teaching/training in the construction field. He has run
a roofing/siding/insulation/ventilation/renovation company, been an R2000 Home
program inspector/researcher, and sat on the Program Advisory Committee for Carpentry
in Nova Scotia Community Colleges. After a term as residential energy analyst/advisor
with the Nova Scotia government, in 2002, he returned full time to the home inspection
field in which he has 25 years full or part time experience. In the past few years,
Brian has had litigation and inspection referrals from other inspectors as well
as helping them in inspections and court cases. Architectural and construction
management firms have used his services, and he has taught the "Building
Science" course at Dalhousie University Faculty of Architecture. He has appeared
on all three local television stations for his views and information on a variety
of housing topics. |
